My favourite part of summer is the strawberry season! We love juicy strawberries. We would always eat in-season strawberries!

Build Your Base
This delicious sweet vinaigrette homemade salad dressing is oil-based without dairy, mayonnaise, or tart balsamic vinegar.
This strawberry vinaigrette dressing uses an olive oil and apple cider vinegar base.
Change the base ingredients to give your strawberry vinaigrette a fresh flavour by swapping fresh fruits such as mangoes, raspberries or blueberries too!
Currently, we are obsessed with this delicious vinaigrette with juicy strawberry flavour!
What Makes A Good Vinaigrette?
A vinaigrette is made of two essential ingredients - olive oil and vinegar. Instead of bold-tasting balsamic vinegar, we use milder apple cider vinegar to compliment the bright flavor of strawberries.
The result is a tangy strawberry vinaigrette that goes wonderfully on top of a bed of greens like our Super Alkaline Salad or Roasted Beets with Arugula Salad.
How To Make Salad Dressings That Don't Separate?
Why is your salad dressing separating? Or how do you fix separated delicious dressing?
Salad dressing separates because nothing is chemically holding the oil and water together.
Commercial salad dressings are made with addictives and emulsifying agents that keep the vinaigrette from separating.
Add honey, mayonnaise, tahini or nuts to help emulsify your homemade dressing.
A great way to fully emulsify your favorite dressings at home, use a food processor.
The best way to achieve a fully emulsified vinaigrette is to use a good-quality food processor. Here are my picks for the Best Food Processors!
Ingredients and Substitutes
This Strawberry salad dressing uses simple ingredients. It is the perfect dressing for a refreshing light summer salad or used during Harvest dinners as we transition into our favorite fall autumn recipes. The sweet and zippy flavour profile is well-balanced.

Fresh Strawberries - We love using in-season sweet strawberries. Choose ripe strawberries and even ones that are imperfect when making Strawberry Vinaigrette Salad recipes. They are sweeter and less tart. During this time of year, visit your local U-pick farms to pick your own strawberries. Fresh and juicy, delicious strawberries are hard to resist.
Can You Use Frozen Strawberries?
You can absolutely use fresh or frozen strawberries. Frozen strawberries are convenient when fresh berries are not in season. Let your frozen strawberries thaw in the refrigerator before blending them. Frozen strawberries tend to be less sweet compared to juicy ripe bubs. Adjust the sweetness with maple syrup or honey.
Here are a couple strawberry-forward recipes I am genuinely obsessed with from the blog! Both these recipes are plant-based and vegan!
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar - ACV is an excellent ingredient to boost your immune system and add extra health-beneficial properties, including antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. Plus, it gives your favorite salad a pop of zing.
Maple Syrup - Use Maple Syrup to keep the salad dressing vegan-friendly. Honey is a good substitute.
Fresh Lime Juice - fresh lime juice is flavourful, citrusy and aromatic. Enhance your salad dressing by adding fresh lime zests.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a healthy choice of salad dressings. It is rich in healthy fats and has a lovely body and texture. Sunflower, flaxseed, avocado and nut oil are great olive oil alternatives in salad dressings.
Kosher Salt - Salt to taste.
Salad Greens - This dressing goes well in a strawberry spinach salad.
Optional Toppings - Besides a delicious salad dressing with fresh fruit, dairy-free feta cheese or goat cheese, red onion, sunflower seeds, and red pepper flakes are great toppings to include.
Most dry goods ingredients, tools and supplies can be purchased at local Asian markets or Asian grocery store or Amazon Online.
Instructions
Is it summer if you don't indulge in the juicy sweetness of fresh, luscious fruit salad? Pre-made grocery dressings can be tasty, but it is hard to beat a healthy dressing with wholesome fresh fruits. Make your own fruit-infused dressings in less then 5 minutes.
For best results, follow this easy recipe; you will always nail the perfect dessert strawberries.
Add baking soda to cold water and soak the strawberries in a large bowl for 5 minutes.
It would be even better to cover and shake it a few times.
Rinse and pat dry fresh strawberries with a kitchen paper towel.
Alternatively, soak and wash the fresh strawberries with a fruit and veggie spray like this one.
De-stem the strawberries and remove the core with a strawberry huller or a sharp pairing knife.
Add all ingredients (except the oil) into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Stream in the oil and pulse until mixed and thickened.
Carefully remove the blade from the food processor(!!)
Pour salad dressing into an airtight glass jar.
Add your favourite salad greens, such as arugula, baby spinach or spring mix, in a salad bowl.
I also highly recommend investing in a quality salad spinner. Drying your veggies thoroughly is so important after they are washed. It helps prevent wilted herbs and vegetables and stays fresher and longer!
Drizzle on Strawberry Vinaigrette.
How To Store Creamy Strawberry Salad Dressing
Strawberry Salad Dressing with a velvety emulsified extra virgin olive oil can be meal prepped beforehand. Store the remaining vinaigrette in the refrigerator in an airtight glass bottle container for up to 4 days.
Shake well before serving with your favourite salad. It's seriously fresh, vibrant and fruity.
