Compared to store-bought strawberry milk, you can optimize it with the desired sweetness in homemade recipes. The best part, this contains all-natural ingredients!

Fresh Strawberries - The star of this popular beverage is real strawberries. Always use in-season fresh fruits whenever possible for the best flavour and texture. Look for ripe strawberries that are firm, plump, and ruby red. These are the sweetest and juiciest! Then you can make Macerated Strawberries puree.
Here are a couple strawberry-forward recipes I am genuinely obsessed with from the blog! Both these recipes are plant-based and vegan!
Sugar – A good amount of sugar is required to balance the tartness of the strawberries. Use white granulated sugar, brown sugar, or monk fruit sugar replacement. Maple syrup is a great vegan sweetener. Keep in mind; honey is not vegan. Luckily, sugar levels can be adjusted to your personal preference!
Milk of Choice - If you follow a vegan, plant-based or vegetarian diet, choose your favourite non-dairy milk alternatives, such as oat, coconut, soy, or almond milk. I prefer oat milk for its neutral profile. For non-vegans, regular milk or whole milk are good alternatives. I love the well-rounded canvas. The milk contrasts with the pink colours of the strawberry compote!
Water - Adding water to the recipe is only necessary if it comes out to a thicker consistency than usual. Add a tablespoon of cold drinking water until desired viscosity.
Ice - Adding ice cubes to your beverage will make it more refreshing!
Whipped Cream - add your choice of whipped cream as a fun topping! Optional but highly recommended!
