JOLLY PONG CRUSH MILKSHAKE / KOREAN SNACK CEREAL LATTE 퐁크러쉬

Today we are making Jolly Pong Crush aka Jolly Pong Latte aka Cereal Milkshake. This milkshake as the name suggests, features Jolly Pong (죠리퐁) - a Korean snack with a light airy, crispy crunch. You can find cereal latte at a lot of bubble tea shops in Korea. Some Local Bubble tea shops have also started introducing this on their menu.

    What is Jolly Pong?

Jolly Pong is a Korean cereal snack that is made with wheat and is lightly sweetened. It reminds me a lot of wheat puffs.

You can find Jolly Pong in the chip aisle at your local Korean or Asian supermarket.

How To Make Jolly Pong Milkshake?

Jolly Pong milkshake is easy to make and only takes 2 to 3 ingredients depending on your preference!

This dessert drink is definitely an awesome hot summer day cool day! You can even make it dirty and add coffee for a great caffeine kick!

One week later, a tub of ice cream and hopped on daily caffeine later, I finally managed to create a (few) Jolly Pong drinks worthy of a hot summer day.

    Let’s get started!

Ingredients for the Jolly Pong Cereal Milkshake Latte

    • 1 cup of ice cubes to your Vitamix blender
    • 1 shot of coffee or espresso
    • 2 to 3 large scopes of vanilla ice cream
    • 1 cup of milk or milk alternative
    • 1 cup jolly pong, and more for topping

Layer your Vitamix with ice, ice cream, milk and Jolly Pong.

Blend well at high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until combined. Remember to take breaks in between, pulse and the motor rest if you are not using a high performance blender like a Vitamix.

    Garnish with Jolly Pong.

    Serve and Enjoy!

    Vegan / Plant-Based Alternatives

We optioned for plant-based ice cream and nut milk for a dairy free milkshake.

We used BUCK vanilla cool ice cream made with buckwheat milk that is free of artificial colours and flavours. They also have buckwheat milk, but we ran out and didn't have any handy.

Next we used Earth Own Barista Oat Milk - this is my favourite Oat Milk and goes wonderfully with coffee. It is creamy and has a nice viscosity with a neutral tasting profile!
