WHAT IS #COOKBLOGSHARE?
CookBlogShare is a community for food bloggers to share recipes and foodie posts and generally support the food blogging community. The community is centred around the #CookBlogShare linky.
It is a wonderful way for a wide range of food writers, recipe creators and bloggers to come together and share each other’s recipes.
The linky is now hosted regularly by Sisley from Sew White & Chloe from Feast Glorious Feast. New members are always welcome to join so make sure you invite your other food blogger friends!
The last linky was hosted by Cat at Curly's Cooking who put together a collection of Eggcellent Easter Bakes.
Each week the host chooses a selection of recipes which have been submitted during the previous week to showcase.
This week, I chose my theme to be vegan tofu recipes focus. As we enter the spring season, our bodies prefers foods that are abundant, refreshing, regenerating, and detoxifying. Pair tofu with the leafy greens of Spring's simple offerings like this Bok Choy and Tofu Recipe!
How Many Different Types Of Tofu Are There?
There are different types of tofu aside from the conventional soft tofu and firm tofu commonly referenced. There are also extra firm tofu, tofu puff, fried tofu, silken tube tofu, fried puff, dessert tofu, marinated pressed tofu, bean curds like the ones we used to make Air Fryer Fried Tofu Skin Recipe.
For example, firm or silken tofu is used for these two Chinese tofu recipes: Mapo Tofu 2.0 and Not So Spicy Mapo Tofu with Mushrooms.
Is Tofu Vegan?
Tofu is a wonderful high protein, low-calorie ingredient. Often people ask is tofu vegan or is tofu whole food plant based? The answer is yes. The term "whole" in WFPB refers to foods that are minimally processed along with certain soy or wheat products that do not contain added fat.
I recommend exploring cooking with different types of tofu.
CNY Shredded Tofu Recipe
This vegan tofu stir fry recipe is packed full of healthy plant-based proteins. It is vibrant, fibre-rich, and made with local produce. Marinated tofu, pressed tofu that has been marinated in a lightly sweetened soy sauce marinade, is the ideal type of tofu to make this shredded tofu recipe!
Tofu Spring Rolls (Vietnamese Summer Rolls)
These Tofu Spring Rolls are the super tasty vegan version of the classic Vietnamese Summer rolls with prawns. They are naturally gluten free, spicy and packed with flavour.
Orange Tahini Grilled Tofu
Here’s an easy recipe for grilled tofu with some Middle Eastern flavors. It includes tahini with the bright flavor of oranges and ginger. This is a quick meal for summertime or anytime of the year because you can cook it on an indoor electric grill!
Thai Basil Tofu Stir Fry In 15 Minutes
15 minute Thai basil tofu is a spicy stir fry that's so easy to make, and full with protein. Featuring spicy birds eye chillies, peppery Thai holy basil and colourful veggies, this one is a real winner.
Mexican Baked Tofu Quinoa Bowl (Meal Prep)
This Mexican Baked Tofu Quinoa Bowl is perfect for meal prep, packed with healthy plant-powered protein and so easy to make!
Tofu Rice Bowls with Vegetables
Tofu Rice Bowls are a healthy lunch or dinner. The bowl is filled with fresh Asian flavors and vegetables served over rice.
10 Minute Tomato Tofu Soup (Lazy Keto)
Weight loss meals can be warm and soothing too! No more feeling hungry and cold! This 10 Minute Tomato Tofu Soup made with medium firm tofu recipe is the answer to a cozy Lazy Keto diet! Lots of wholesome ingredients to give you that big warm hug! Similar to a Korean tofu soup recipe non spicy!
Not So Spicy Vegan Mapo Tofu
Similar to how Grandma used to make it, yet totally different. This healthy vegetarian recipe is good for anyone looking to have a flavourful vegetarian meal. Either way, you make it you will have a delicious Chinese homey meal that is great served with plain white jasmine rice. This quick and easy chilli tofu recipe is ready in 15 minutes!
Szechuan Vegan Mapo Tofu 麻婆豆腐
Call it Vegan Mapo Tofu 2.0. After our Not So Spicy Mapo Tofu recipe shared not too long ago made with mushrooms, I decided to make this classic home-cooked Chinese Cantonese dish with plant-based burger patties. I used Impossible Foods plant-based patty for a healthier vegetarian mapo tofu version. Quick, easy recipe in 15 minutes Chinese recipe thats better than House Foods mapo tofu!
