
Lavender Lemonade is a cool refreshing drink for the hot summer days when water just doesn't cut it. Sometimes, a little flavor is needed without the calories. That's why you should try this easy recipe for a calming and refreshing beverage that can be easily stored in the fridge and impress those impromptu guests knocking at your door!
Lavender Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients: | |
small handful | freshly picked lavender flowers (or previously dried lavender flowers) |
1 cup | white granulated sugar (or reduce to ¾ cup) |
1 cup | water (for simple syrup) |
1 cup | fresh squeezed lemon juice |
3 to 4 cups | cold water (to dilute) |
Prep time: 20 minutes
Wash and rinse lavender.
To make simple syrup, heat sugar and water in a small saucepan until dissolved.
Mix in fresh lemon juice. Depending on the types of lemons used (Meyer lemons are less tart than regular lemons) and adjust proportion for own sweetness preference.
Add in lavender.
Steeped lavender and chill.
Or if you prefer no sugar added.
Just steeped lavender with the lemons and chilled! Very refreshing and relaxing!
Serve with ice, sliced lemons.
