Pure Financial Return, Convenience & Extra Points
The appeal of this program really is the added convenience of free shipping and grocery pick-up fee. As a mom of a recent graduated baby / young toddler, having my groceries picked up and loaded to my car is valuable!
I love saving time. Although it is a little hard to quantify, I was making up my shopping list yesterday but actually adding things to my shopping cart. It literally saved me at least an hour depending on how things looked at the store: no crazy line up, no need to fight for a parking spot; no need to reason with my 2-year-old for 30 mins who thinks she can "do it herself!" or that she wants to buy all the sugary treats!
Obviously, I LOVE the extra points from purchasing baby diapers, baby formula and baby food - and it isn't limited to just PC Branded products is huge!
Importantly, f you have kids then you probably will buy some Joe Fresh for sure. I also love shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart and online at their Beauty Boutique via Ebates and also gas up at Esso.
In just under a month of signing up, I have already racked up 356,596 PC Optimum Points = C$350. I already broke even my annual subscription cost and made some money!
To put things into perspective that's
- 6 free boxes of Enfamil,
- 18 boxes of Huggies Diapers
- Free groceries and household goods
- or just a nice perk to buying yourself something special aka skincare or cosmetics from Shoppers Drug Mart (they carrier luxury and Derma brands.) My husband always says, "treat yourself!"
Are There Changes To the Existing PC Points Program?
No. The current PC Optimum points program will not change and you can still save points every time you make a purchase. I LOVE waiting for 20x Points Events at Shoppers Drug Mart. The new PC Insider program is a nice complement.
As an avid online shopper who likes to have everything delivered to my door, there's an incentive to get 20x the points for cosmetics, groceries, and clothing. You can order online and then pick up your products at a store. If doing this saves me 3 to 4 hours monthly, SIGN ME UP!
Bonus Points
Watch your emails! Upon signing up and becoming a member, I also received an email with a unique promo code for 20,000 bonus points for my first PC Express pickup order of $60 or more.
In particular, I bought $70.36 worth of the following products:
- 1x Case of 18 pack Enfamil A+ 2 Infant Formula
- 4x Love Child Organics Love Ducks toddler snacks
- 3x Mineral Water
Regular Points 11,200
Bonus Points 20,000
Total Points 31,200 ($31.20)
Net-net, my total bill was under $40 !! Specifically, it was $39.16.
Additionally, if you signed up with my PC Insider referral code "NW1621" you're annual subscription is $75. Without a doubt, if you purchased the same thing as above you would already save 50% off your subscription fees.
