Nothing says Good Morning like a fresh glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or grapefruit juice (aside from coffee of course)! We recently purchased the Breville Citrus Press. So here is a Breville Citrus Press Review - We are so LOVE with it that we've made a glass of fresh juice every morning for breakfast. There's something about drinking fresh cold orange juice from a glass that is so satisfying!
I've been eyeing this small kitchen appliance for two years now. I guess I've mentioned this enough times to Dave that he finally caved and bought this for me! This is an expensive citrus juicer with a price tag of $199. Even though it is pricey, I feel that it is a very good investment. For the person who is looking to make fresh orange juice, lemonade, and flavored water, the motorized parts takes all the difficulties, frustration and pain out of manually extracting juice from the citrus fruits. It takes less then 10 seconds to make a full glass of delicious juice!
Compact and Convenient
The Breville Citrus Press is compact and convenient. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space. We live in a small condo apartment and counter real estate is so limited! It fits snuggly between my stove, my toaster oven and Nespresso - we didn't even need to relocate other appliances.
Although this citrus press is small in size, Breville has made it super convenient and easy to clean. All of the removable non-electrical parts are completely dishwasher safe. It is easy to take apart. You can also simply rinse after each use!
The reamer comes in only one size. It works universally with different sizes of citrus fruits - lemons, limes, oranges and even giant red ruby grapefruits. I hated the vintage juicer my mom has. Grapefruits would never fit properly on it and I would always need adjust the fruit to get the sides. In the end, juices would splatter all over the counter (and worse all over myself).
You do not need to press hard on the large handle bar to extract the juices. Simply hold it gently and press down. That's it!
Cons
One thing though, I wish the pulp filter was deeper. After a few squeezes, you will need to scoop out the pulp in the shallow pulp container. I guess this is a good way to force you to either eat the pulp right away or to add it to your orange juice.

Pros
Aesthetically this is a pretty sleek juicer. It has that urban, contemporary slender design. It is easy to use. It extracts juice efficiently and quietly.
One Glass At A Time
One glass at a time. I prefer this over store bought citrus juices. It guarantees every glass is fresh and full of nutrients and vitamins. Making fresh citrus juice at home ensures there are no harmful substances or additives.
It's hard to imagine buying cartons of OJ from big boxed stores ever again now that I have both the Breville Citrus Press and the Breville Juice Fountain.
