Torafuku Vancouver is located in Chinatown. We were there for their grand opening and had a great time. For those who are unfamiliar, Torafuku is a spinoff from the popular Le Tigre food truck. It is located right beside Campagnolo and Electric Owl. Head Chef Clement Chan and Steve Kuan partners say they are menu focused on modern Asian Fusion cuisine a la izakaya-style. Tonight we came for an evening with Dine Out Vancouver with a few friends.

call of duty (CoD): crispy ling cod, clams, root veggies, sake kumbu broth full of umami and handmade gnocchi.
kare kare: seared tender beef blade steak, 3 grain risotto, pickled veggies, oxtail on top of peanut ragu.
J-E-L-L-O: Oolong infused yuzu jello, condense milk ice cream, crispy salted caramel. At first I thought it was a small ice cream ball on top of ice. Clever!
