The Greek by Anatoli in Yaletown is offering a new Happy Hour Menu between 2 to 5pm. There is a great selection of tapas size shared items as well as drink specials all for $4. And as their new Happy Hour promotion between March 27 to 31st, all Happy Hour food items will be $2 only! That's a pretty sweet deal! It is less than the price of my Grande coffee!

Keftedes: traditional pan fried meatballs served in tomato sauce. Juicy and full of flavor.

Watermelon Karpouzi Mojito: a pretty looking and tasty cocktail available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic mocktail.

Spanakopita: One of my favorite Greek appetizers. This flakey filo wrap is filled with spinach, feta and herbs.

Calamari: This classic appetizer is crispy yet tender. Give the lemon a good squeeze and dip it in some tzatziki sauce!

True Greek Pork Souvlaki: Apparently, pork is the meat of choice in Greece. Supposedly all souvlaki in Greece are made with pork unlike what we are used to here with beef, lamb, chicken... This pork was quite tender. It had a nice char and is well seasoned. I would order this for sure!

Greek Salad: Although this is not a Happy Hour menu food item. I would suggest ordering it a la carte regardless. The presentation is nice and has loads of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, feta, capers and onions.

Dolmathes: Grape vine leaves stuffed with beef and rice, cooked in avgolemeno (egg/ lemon) broth. If you are wondering whether you can eat the leaf wrap, the answer is yes.

Caesar: Garnished with grilled prawn and pickled beans. This Caesar isn't too spicy and is good for those who prefer a tamer cocktail. Me on the other hand like my Caesar with some extra heat!

Homous: I love this dip. It is more tart and lemony tasting than most restaurants. Made with chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice and parsley. Served with a side of pita bread. It is a good item to snack on between dishes.
