Ta Bom Korean Cuisine Coquitlam is currently the hottest restaurant in K-town. It is located next to Jimoco Pasta on 1046 Austin Avenue and Marmont Street. There is limited free street parking. There is no reservations. Everyone is seated first come first serve. The great thing about Tabom, they will call you when you're seat is ready! So you can wait in the car if you wanted!
They are famous for their Hot Plates $14-15.

Jukkumi jeyuk bokkeum 15: This spicy small octopus and pork is amazingly delicious! Once the plate heats up, the egg will cook and the cheese will melt like fondue! Order Bookeum Bap near the end. The servers will stir fry the rice and seaweed directly on the hot plate for you.
Ori Yukgaejang 13: This spicy duck soup has a subtle residual heat that gets hotter as you drink it. The duck meat is tender and boneless. There are a lot of flavors in this hot soup. A lot are herbal and earthy but so delicious. I would recommend some heat reducing soup or beer to neutralize the heat in your body after!
If you like spicy food, I definitely recommend Ta Bom. I haven't seen this in Vancouver until now. I've only had this type in LA.
