Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Portland is a high-end coffee shop that has developed quite a cult following. This specialty coffee shop has locations throughout PDX (much like Prado and 49th Parallel coffee in Vancouver). But of course, many of its fans got really upset when Peet's Coffee & Tea bought Stumptown. Many of us, simply scared that the quality will just go downhill.
We visited the 4525 SE Division Street location after having an early lunch at Canteen. I particularly like this coffee shop in the Richmond neighbourhood. I like the different shops nearby. I like that Salt & Straw Ice Cream is just a blocks down.
The lineup for coffee normally goes out the door. We were lucky and missed the bubble and was able to grab a seat. I really like the hipster merchandise selection Stumptown offers and even their brew kits (available online) is pretty rad. I mean, AeroPress and a copper pour over kettle set. You got me!
Cold Brew Coffee: A sweet, smooth, syrupy coffee made with Stumptown House Blend.
Cappuccino: Because it is early, having a hot coffee is the only way for me.
And for my Vancouver friends looking for some Stumptown Coffee, you can head over to Platform 7.
