Old World Carnival Afternoon Tea Notch 8 | Fairmont Hotel Vancouver High Tea

Notch 8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is part of the hotel's $12 million dollar renovation project. The restaurants itself is massive with multiple dining spaces, private rooms and a Panorama Roof. Subtle references to the bygone days of Canadian Pacific hotel's railway heritage. Notch 8 represents a train's top speed. Art Deco, rich wood leather luggages, booth seats all brings back nostalgia of cabins. It was just the other night we were here for their Whisky Cave Event; Today we are here for the Old World Carnival Afternoon Tea.

Old World Carnival Afternoon Tea is inspired by the marvellous Golden Age of traveling carnivals just like the movie Water for Elephants. This fun high tea is fun and enchanting. It comes on its own ferris wheel filled with themed pastries! Afternoon Tea is $54 per person and on until November 13th.

Sparkling water served with cotton candy. A fun way to start the just when you sit down.

While you wait for your afternoon tea set to arrive, snack on some salted and caramel popcorn.

Topsy Turvy caramel apple lollipops and Worlds largest cotton candy macaron.

Other Sweets and Pastries include:

• SPECTACULAR lemon cupcake
• RING MASTER cherry pie

This lemon cupcake feels like theres sugar pop rocks in the meringue.

• Big Eli: salt beef, radish, arugula, mustard bagel
• Carousel: smoked salmon, fromage frais, preserved lemon, pumpernickel
• Midway: pulled chicken, bourbon mustard, pickled red cabbage, focaccia
• Punch & Judy: egg mayonnaise, cornichon, avocado, english cucumber

Catch it before it ends November 13th! After that, the Polar Express Christmas Afternoon Tea comes rolling in! And I can't wait for that!
