Australia Dairy Company Hong Kong 澳洲牛奶公司 is a favorite amongst tourists, travel blogs, and Trip Advisors. It is so famous that there are long queues early during the day. When we arrived, undoubtedly the crowds and long lines has already formed. However, I was skeptical to see most people lining up were in fact English speaking tourists with cameras.

There is zero ambiance and don't expect service. Seats are crammed together and if you are lucky you may get a 2 x 4 space like we did (in a corner). What seemed like chaos is already in an orderly fashion for these people hyped on adrenaline. We witnessed the waiter scolding an elder lady inquiring whether she needed to wait in line for a table of two. I would like to give the nice old lady the benefit of the doubt and give her a little respect. Nonetheless this is the culture.

Australia Dairy Company Hong Kong is famous for their legendary scrambled eggs, steamed egg white milk pudding.

Iced Milk Tea: Not bad but I would prefer it to be stronger. Perhaps watered down with the ½ cup of ice.

Ham and scrambled egg sandwich: Delicious creamy eggs that were cooked perfectly with a little bit of salt. Matched with a slice of ham on crust-less bread. Melt in your mouth experience.

Toast with condense milk: What's not to love about melting condense milk on a slightly buttered toast?

In the end, were we convinced this was the must eat, best cafe to eat in Hong Kong? Probably not. Was it worth the wait in line? Probably not either. I would say, this was more of a tourist trap and unless you are in the area and there was minimal wait, you can skip it and move along. There are plenty of other cafes around serving similar if not better meals. And if you want to compare, my guess is that you will want to visit Yee Shun Milk Company 義順牛奶公司.
