    It's that time of year again... The 7th annual Fraser Valley Food Show presented by Born 3 Eggs celebrates all things food in the Fraser Valley on October 3, 4, and 5, 2014 at the Tradex in Abbotsford, B.C. New this year is the Butchers' Showcase Stage presented by BC Pork & Passion for Pork, where butchers from all over B.C. will demonstrate the art of meat cutting, sausage making, knife skills, and more. Back by popular demand, the 2nd Gluten-Free Living Show returns to cater to the increasing number of attendees interested in gluten-free eating. Over half of the show floor will be composed of gluten-free vendors.

    Happy Planet: Happy Planet makes delicious, fresh soups that draw inspiration from cuisines from around the world, and favourite homemade recipes from Canada. Made with fresh, premium, natural, and certified organic ingredients, gluten-free, vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties, no preservatives, artificial ingredients or colourings, made in small kettle batches in BC, and winner of the 2012 and 2013 Canadian Grand Prix New Product Award.

     

     

    Kealy's Diamond Vodka: Kealy' uses new technologies, which are actual diamond dust filters to make their vodka "The Smoothest in the World." Their Abbotsford-based company won Platinum & Gold medals at the Las Vegas International Spirits Competition in their first year. They are certified gluten-free. They also help local charities and community groups.

     

    Mr. Moms World: Mr Mom aka Russell Pohl is partnered with his husband Darrell for 25 years, and has 2 biological children, 5 adopted children, and one foster child for a total of 8 children. He owns Mr Moms World Catering and Events, which caters all over B.C. and some international cities. The company has a line of Ukrainian products such as cabbage rolls, perogies and kolabassa.

     

    Stuffers Supply Company: Stuffers has a large variety of interesting and innovative products for sausage making. New products are derived from common products (vinegar, celery, etc) that are becoming popular to use in sausage. They believe sausage-making is entering an interesting time. Traditionally, it was a way to use the meat that was left over after butchering an animal, and over centuries, became an art form. In North America, the artisan aspect was replaced by higher production, but recently it has swung back and people are looking for more gourmet types of sausage or want to try making it themselves. They have quality products and ingredients that all of those customers find useful. People are usually quite pleased to discover that they exist, as some of their products are difficult to find. They also partner with Well Seasoned and Lepp Farm Market to facilitate classes on home sausage making.
