Ingredients

Scale

Spicy Beef Strip

  • 1 lbs Rib eye, cut into 1-inch cubes or 2 inch strips
  • 1 tbsp Baking Soda
  • 2 tbsp Water

Spicy Beef Marinade

Fresh Lime Chili Spicy Dressing

Salad

  • 1 head Romaine Lettuce Leaves or Baby Gem Lettuce
  • 1/2 Carrots, ribboned
  • 1 Shallot, rough chop
  • 1 Radish, sliced
  • 12 Cherry Tomatoes, halved
  • 1 Cucumber, thin slices
  • 1 Red Peppers, julienne
  • 1/2 Bunch Fresh Mint Leaves, rough chop
  • 1/2 Bunch Fresh Cilantro, rough chop
  • 2 Stalks Finely Chopped Green Onions
  • 25g Crushed Toasted Peanuts (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. First, wash the beef and pat dry with a kitchen paper towel.
  2. In a large bowl, tenderize the meat with baking soda.
  3. Then marinate, and air fry the Vietnamese Shaking Beef.
  4. While the beef marries, prepare the salad ingredients and sweet and sour chilli lime dressing ingredients.
  5. In a large bowl, add fresh lime juice, lime zest, fish sauce or homemade Vegan Nước Chấm, bird's eye chili, monk fruit sugar and minced garlic. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
  6. While the ribeye or flank steak is cooking in the air fryer, prepare the fresh vegetable salad.
  7. Wash and pat dry veggies. I also highly recommend investing in a quality salad spinner. Drying your vegetables and fresh herbs thoroughly is essential after washing them. It helps prevent watered-down salad dressings, and the salad stays fresher and longer!
  8. A fuss-free way to get perfectly thin ribbons of carrots is to use a vegetable peeler.
  9. In a large mixing bowl, add chopped and sliced vegetables.
  10. Lightly drizzle the Spicy Lime Salad Dressing onto the greens. Do not flood the salad with the dressing.
  11. Give it a perfect mix, so the chilli, garlic and sugar wrap around each dietary fiber!
  12. Divide salad on two plates and top with air-fried spicy beef strips and an extra spoonful of salad dressing.
  13. Garnish with finely chopped spring onion, fragrant herbs and crushed toasted peanuts.
  14. Serve and enjoy!
