  1. Shuck and remove corn silks off the ears of corn.

  3. Stand the corn upright on the flat side and cut each crosswise down the middle with a sturdy knife.
  4. Repeat the process, lay the two corn halves on the cutting board, and cut them into quarters.
  5. Add miso paste, plant-based butter, real maple syrup, Shichimi Togarashi seasoning to a small bowl. Mix well until combined.
  6. Use a pastry brush, the back of the knife, or a spoon to apply the spicy miso butter mixture onto the pieces of corn ribs. Ensure the slices of corn are evenly coated.
  7. Preheat air fryer to 400°F.
  8. Place buttered pieces of corn ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  9. Set the cooking time to 12 minutes at 400F. Flipping halfway.

Notes

  1. For best results, use room-temperature butter. Cut the butter sticks into thin slices or chunks instead of leaving them in one big stick. This will soften the butter faster.
  2. Use air fryer parchment paper and line the bottom of the air fryer basket for easy clean-ups.
  3. To reheat and crisp corn ribs back up, air fry at 360F for 3-4 minutes.
