Pepper Lunch Canada currently has two locations: Vancouver on Cambie street and Richmond on No.3 Road. This popular Japanese DIY Fast Food Steak restaurants offers sizzling hot teppanyaki style hot plates. As we approach the new Fall season, there are a few new menu items and combo meals.
Gyoza (Beef or Chicken): Each order comes with 12 pieces of juicy Japanese dumplings. The skin is thin and has a nice crunchy sear. Perfect for those sharing or looking for a lighter meal.
Maple Flavored Sliced Pork Steak: Sliced pork steak with bean sprouts, green beans, carrots and a bowl of rice. They use a nice pork butt that has a good tender meat to fat ratio.
Veggie Mushroom Burger: For those looking for a meatless meal, this is for you! This veggie burger patty is delicious, juicy and has a great earthy flavor. I’m so glad it doesn’t taste like cardboard compared to some other veggies burgers I’ve tried.
Yaki Udon: Your choice of beef or pork. It includes green beans, carrots and topped with bonito flakes and green onions for a nice umami boost of flavor. I’m so glad they have this on the menu. Sometimes, I’m just craving for a nice hot plate of noodles. I also like to let is sizzle a little longer for that nice charred flavor.
Also new at Pepper Lunch is their dinner special for 18.95. It comes with Prawns and sliced Angus Beef or a 300g Kobe Burger, a bowl of rice, plus miso soup, a drink and mochi ice cream!
300g Kobe Burger: Juicy and Tender. I love adding rice on the hot plate to make my own fried rice with lots of garlic butter!
