Nice Vice Creamy Vancouver is a dairy free, plant based micro ice cream shop located on 1022 Mainland Street in Yaletown. You may have noticed their adorable mini van and pop-up originally at Hawkers Market at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport. Nice Vice offers organic and ethically sourced ingredients that are also non-dairy (perfect for those that lactose intolerant or just want to cut back on dairy), soy free, GMO, allergen and cholesterol free. 0% of all the bad vices.
According to Nice Vice’s website ‘V’ in ‘vice’ stands for vegan.
Vice Cream is also the name of a book pioneering the dairy-free dessert. (The revised work is now called Vegan Ice Cream.) Written by the ‘naughty vegan’, Jeff Rodgers, it’s the first well-known book on alternative-dairy frozen desserts, and it was given to Chris by his beautiful niece Shay when he decided to turn the dream into a reality.
Nice Vice Ice Cream Flavors
- Vanilla vice
- chocoholics anonymous
- Strawberry fiends forever
- Tripped out tropical
- lemonhead
- Buzz’d
- seasonal specials
I personally prefer their fruity flavours especially the classic Strawberry Fiend for its intense profile. Suddenly I don’t miss milk so much.
They also offer a salt tasting station that you can add fruit and tea flavor infused salts to your ice cream desserts! Just do this sparingly. You don’t want a salty ice cream!
Nice Vice is a greatly alternative to dairy ice cream treats. But if you are looking for a creamy hit there’s always Earnest Ice Cream, Rain or Shine, or Bella Gelateria. And if you are craving soft-served ice cream hit up UYU Ice Cream and Soft Peaks in Gastown or 720 Sweets by UBC.
