Juke in Vancouver Chinatown is a 48 seat restaurant, fully licensed for fried chicken and ribs. There is take out service, so can also enjoy the crispy goodness at home.
The space is created by Ply Architecture and the branding by Glasfurd & Walker (Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie, Osteria Savio Volpe, L’abattoir). It reminds me a lot of Chungking Express 重慶森林. Perhaps it is the neon signs.
Fried Brussel Sprouts 4: We optioned for some vegetables to go along with our indulgences. Lightly charred, sprinkled with sesame seeds and a hint of tangy flavors.
Half slab of Sticky Pork Ribs 15: For a place that’s famous for their 🍗🍖 the ribs was surprisingly better! Tender, tangy and fall of the bones goodness! I would come back just for the ribs itself!
Fried Chicken (two for 5.50; three for 8.00; five for 13; ten for 25): All their chicken are hormone free and gluten free. Option for spicy or regular. The skin is crispy and has a nice loud crunch. Prices are a tad steep but than again this isn’t your Church’s Chicken 10 piece bucket!
All fried chicken comes with a side of slaw. I love the tangy crunchiness!
