Creekside Coffee Factory Coquitlam: If you are a fan of the blog, you would have read my entry on Rocanini in Steveston. The theme is the same, this coffee shop is for people who enjoys coffee. Again, if you’re looking for the closest grab and go coffee place, this place is probably out of your way.
I have been here twice before bringing Nancy to Creekside Coffee Factory. The owner did a good job on signage of the location. There isn’t any reason why I would come here for a coffee to begin with. Starbucks is just down the block. I was intrigued not only by the signage but the fact that there were actually people inside at 1pm in the afternoon. Unless you live here you wouldn’t understand my statement. In a nutshell, imagine a strip mall with not much traffic, and no character.
We just finished our less than satisfied dinner at Sushi Town and decided to sit back and relax.
Creekside Coffee Factory dew drip, is their version of vacuum coffee. To best of my abilities to describe my experience, this cup of coffee is fragrant in a very subtle way. After this experience, I will never order the regular drip coffee here again.
Second feature is another unique coffee recipe. (Affogato: Italian, “drowned”) It usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso. What a nice summer treat. A spoonful of ice cream drowned in espresso creates a very refreshing taste to the palate.
Lastly, the cheesecake! I am so out of words to describe this cake… Because it is not made in house. There is nothing special about the texture or flavor profiles either. At the end of the day, if you live close by, or happen to be in town and have time to spare. Come in to Creekside Coffee Factory and have a coffee.
