Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen Vancouver | Vietnamese Pho Restaurant

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image_with_animation image_url=”19111″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen Vancouver is a high traffic pho restaurant on Victoria Drive. It is between 34th and 35th Ave; across from Chau Veggiexpress, Amay’s House Burmese and Hoi An Cafe. Be prepare to wait in time if you come during rush hour. If you are able to put up with the wait, the Special Crab Soup with vermicelli and Special Fish Cake Vermicelli pho noodles will be well worth your time.

The restaurant itself is tight. Tight seating which means sometimes you will learn to share. However, I like that they are clean and brightly lit.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][image_with_animation image_url=”19115″ animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_self”][vc_column_text]

Special Crab Soup with Vermicelli (Bun Rieu) #23: A nice flavorful broth of crab and fish soup base. The soup itself is not spicy however the orange tomato sea suggests. Crab paste was nice with every slurp of the vermicelli noodles. Comes with some shrimp and ham. Add some bean sprouts, perilla leaves and lime.

Special Fish Cake Vermicelli Soup (Bun Cha Ca Dac Biet) #24: The dill was fragrant and different from what you normally get. I like that the soup base was fresh, fishy and refreshingly addictive.

Grilled Lemongrass Pork and Spring Roll Vermicelli Bowl (Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio) #26: A perfect bowl for a hot summer’s day. The pork is well marinaded. However, the spring roll was a let down. The meat was soggy and the roll was dry.

If you are hangry and can’t bear to wait in line any longer, you can also head to Hoi An and enjoy a bowl of dry noodles.
