Vega Energizing Smoothie Shakes Review

Vega One

I’m a firm believer that any healthy lifestyle begins in the kitchen. Any diet and workout regime consists 80% diet and 20% exercise. The more junk one puts into the body, the more time and energy is required to breakdown the toxins. Lean meats, high fiber and low carbs really helped to improve my energy level and I don’t feel as sluggish mid-morning. Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shakes also really helped to to curb my hunger pains while provided the necessary nutrients. However sometimes, it is a little too filling. That’s where Vega Energizing Smoothie falls in.

Compared to Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shakes, Vega Energizing Smoothie still has 10grams of complete plant-based protein, 5 grams of fiber, 1 g of Omega-3. That is 2 servings of veggies that is dairy, gluten and soy free! It comes in  various flavors such  as Bodacious Berry, Choc-a-lot, Oh Natural, Tropical Tango and Vanilla Almond flavors. I tried the Tropical Tango which is like a mango, peachy type citrus blend. The flavour is mild but has a slight orange vitamin taste. Not a deal breaker for me, but would make it harder to mix with fresh fruits. Your selection should complement the orange-y taste. So blueberries are out of the questions.
Vega One

Vega Energizing Smoothie vs. Vega One Nutritional shake, the powder is very clumpy and does not dissolve easily. So you will either need to mix it vigorously or used a Magic Bullet Blender to blitz it for 30 secs.

This makes a great pre-run / pre-workout drink. I usually one after work and before Vinyasa class. I don’t feel like I want to puke transitioning to Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (updog).

What do you like to mix with your supplement shakes or with Vega Energizing Smoothie? Do you add chia seeds or a banana?
