January and February is always a busy time in Vancouver because Dine Out Vancouver and Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival seems to always coincide. This year, as part of the 4th annual Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival 2014 present by CityFood Magazine between January 18 – February 14, 2014, we decided to try Terra Breads Bakery in Kitsilano. Something warm right before our dinner at Bistro Pastis.
This year chocolate makers around Vancouver features 60+ crazy flavors. The featured hot chocolates will be available at three Terra Breads location in Kitsilano, Olympic Village and 5th Ave.
Terra Breads Bakery Hot Chocolate Festival Flavors
- #53 – “CALL ME A CAB” Cacao Barry Extra Brute Hot Chocolate with Cabernet, cinnamon and pear. Served with a pear crisp and a cocoa sugar cookie.
- #54 – “ALOHA SWEETIE” Barry Callebaut White Hot Chocolate with hibiscus flower. Served with mountain berry marshmallow and lemon sugar cookie.
Take me back to Maui! The ALOHA SWEETIE hot chocolate features Barry Callebaut White Hot Chocolate with hibiscus flower. Served with raspberry marshmallow and tiny lemon sugar cookie. The hot coco was very sweet and I could really only taste the raspberry marshmallow melting. So imagine yourself a cup of hot raspberry white chocolate milk.
Where should I try next? What was the best hot chocolate in Vancouver you have tried?
