If you happen to be on the Sunshine Coast at the Gibson’s Wharf, remember order eat some fine oysters right on the docks. The view is breathtaking especially on a sunny, cloudless day. Smitty’s is opened by the same folks over at Rodney’s Oyster House.
Trattoria Nervosa Toronto, Ontario | 75 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON M5R 1B8 | (416) 961-4642
Anytime we were in Toronto we can’t stop ourselves from getting some authentic Italian food. The pasta and food at Trattoria Nervosa never disappoints. Two stories, awesome patio and delicious Caprese Invernale and Mafalde ai Funghi are a must!
Mosquito Vancouver, BC | 32 Water St Vancouver, BC Canada, V6B 1A4 | (604) 398-3188
Mosquito is an upscale, sexy restaurant dedicated to desserts, cocktails and charcuterie. We think owners Alice Wu and Johan Friedrich has a really great concept to offering dessert outside of chocolate lava cake. Mosquito is a perfect date night spot with its dark and sophisticated atmosphere.
Roselle Desserts Toronto, Ontario | 362 King Street East, Toronto, ON M5A 1K9 | (416) 368-8188
Roselle is a bakery which only opened earlier this year in February 2015. Located in Corktown, owners, Stephanie Duong and Bruce Lee makes some mean one mean Banana Cream Eclair. Their The Earl – chocolate Earl Grey mouses – is also super velvety with big black tea infused bergamot flavors.

L’Express Montreal Quebec | 3927 Rue Saint-Denis, Montréal, QC H2W 2M4 | (514) 845-5333
L’Express Montreal is one for those Parisian French restaurants serving sinful french favorites. Bone Marrow with Coarse Salt (os à moelle gros sel), Boiled Egg with Mayonnaise (oeuf dur mayonnaise) and Chicken Liver Pate with Pistachios (Mousse de Foues de Volaille aux Pistaches) are a few must haves.
Pier7 Restaurant + Bar Vancouver, BC| 25 Wallace Mews, North Vancouver, BC V7L 0B9 | (604) 929-PIER (7437)
Pier 7 Restaurants’s “The Boil” is fun and interactive. It is something casual and delicious at the same time. Plus eating snow crabs, giant prawns, mussel and clams far more luxurious than some muddy crayfish! I especially enjoyed the warmed butter to dip my succulent seafood into! The corn is sweet. It is such a great vehicle to soaks up all the sauces! The Pier 7 Restaurant is just a quick SeaBus ride from Waterfront. Trust me, it is closer than Granville Island Public Market.
AnnaLena Vancouver, BC| 1809 W 1st Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J 5B8 | (778) 379-4052
Opened by former chef of The Oakwood, Mike Robbins, the name AnnaLena is named after combining the first names of Chef Mike Robbin’s grandmothers. This Modern Canadian comfort restaurant in Kitsilano is a gem. Sometime you should experience for yourself.
