Naked Snacks is a Vancouver based Canadian healthy snacks subscription box. It is a service that sends wholesome snacks to your door. I love snacking while watching Netflix. Watching a movie without some sort of snack just isn’t the same! So, it is great to switch…
Harvest Community Foods (or as I like to refer to Harvest Union) is a local grocer servicing the Chinatown-Strathcona neighbourhood at 243 Union St. The grocery and food shop began is a community project (This Space), in which a public vote determined the use of the site. Harvest also offers an innovative chef-crafted CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares of bi-weekly seasonal farm produce (available year round, multiple weeks or an entire season).
Chef and Partner Gabriella Meyer and Owner Andrea Carlson from Burdock & Co. creates a neighbourly environment that is casual, warm and captures the essence of farm to table dining in a cafe setting.
Harvest carries local foods and products and offers a delicious, healthy noodle menu filled with a variety of fresh vegetables and meats. The broth is rich and not greasy. You leave filling full but not stuffed. I love the variety of hearty ingredients and the pork shoulder is SO tender!
#29: Ramen with squash, miso broth, nori, scallion, radish, and sesame. It is a vegetarian noodle bowl. But for me, I added some pork shoulder and am ajitama egg to my ramen. Let’s be real here!
#17: Udon with sake kazu chicken, watercress and shitake mushrooms.
Next time, I really need to try their dry noodle #31 with rice noodle and hazelnut, smoked chilli and greens.

The Juice Box Vancouver is another cold press juice shop. Similar to The Juice Truck and the Juice Shop San Francisco. The Juice Box believes in the potent and powerful cleansing system inherit in each of our bodies. All we need are some healthy ingredients and let mother nature do her thing. Juicing has incredible healing power and juice cleansing has the potential to catalyze.
One of my favorite juice is the beet juice, particular The Juice Box HeartBeet juice. The name itself is very gimmicky and has a nice ring. Beet juice is great for blood building, warming, kidney cleansing potency. With a few simple ingredients of yours truly beets, apples, celery, parsley, lemon and ginger it is simply delicious and amazing. Beet Juice is something I like making at home also with my Breville JE98XL Two-Speed Juice Fountain Plus.
Of course, a Beaucoup Bakery fluffy and buttery creamy almond croissant makes it twice as good!

So happy to find my November’s Snackbox sitting on the kitchen counter after my trip to San Francisco! And after August’s Snackbox Review and September’s Snackbox Review, I was excited for Snackbox’s new branding. The box looks great with the red squirrel and squirrel monogram on the…
