Fishermans Terrace Seafood Restaurant 釣魚台海鮮酒家 is a nice restaurant located inside Aberdeen Mall in Richmond. There are plenty of parking (that is if you are able to maneuver around all the Asian mommies)! Reservations are highly recommended as they are constantly busy throughout the day.
Shrimp and Spinach Dumpling: Eats like a traditional shrimp dumpling just with some added veggies and shaped differently.
Steamed Black Bean Chicken Feet: flash fried and then marinated in bold flavors.
Minced Fish Paste Chinese Donut rice roll: a soft center with some added crunch from the deep fried chinese donut.
Steamed Beef Balls: Well proportioned minced beef and green peas. Flavors are light and has a bouncy texture.
Steamed Pork Dumpling: Minced pork mixed with shrimp and Chinese mushrooms wrapped with thin skin.
Deep Fried Taro Ball: Mashed taro deep fried with a flaky blanket. One of my favorites.
Pan Fried Radish Cake: Comfort food. A great side dish especially if you are having congee.
Ginger and Scallion Steamed Chicken Bun: If you are tired of BBQ pork buns, this is a nice alternative. Equally as juicy and tasty!

Dragon View Chinese Cuisine 龍景軒 in Richmond is one of my favorite dim sum hang outs. It is affiliated with Wah Wing in Coquitlam but the food here on a higher caliber. It is located in Continental Plaza where Pearl Castle 圓香茶坊, Yuu Japanese Tapas, Gyo-O Japanese Restaurant, Deer Garden Signature and Sing Yee Chinese Restaurant also reside. Dragon View is always busy and reservations are expected if you wish to be seated quickly. We must be very lucky, because we usually don’t have to wait too long even without a rsvp. Service here is friendly, prompt and the environment is clean.
The interior has been renovated since it’s old name. It is well lit and also a crowd favorite among wedding parties. There is a good variety of dim sum selections and several large LED TV’s to entice you with features. We’ve order a few extra plates because of this subliminal messaging.
Steamed Black Bean Spareribs: Tender and deeply marinated with a slight chew. I like how they had a good meat to bone ratio.
Garlic Stir Fried Mustard Greens: A distinct horseradish-mustard flavor with bite. There is a nice crunch and leaves to hold the flavors. Well cooked without being too old.
XO Sauce Pan Fried Radish Cake: This radish cake is my favorite (just like my love for Jade Seafood 玉庭軒魚翅海鮮酒家. Slightly crispy exterior with a warm soft center. Garnished with bean sprouts and chives.
Steamed Pork Meat and Peanuts: A steamed dumpling with bite and crunch. Peanuts give a nice fragrant and pork minced meat is cooked just right and moist.
Sliced Fish Congee (bowl): Enough to feed for bowls each or fresh fish slices de-boned. Served with roasted peanuts, preserved vegetables and chives.
Sometimes we definitely over order and have to doggy bag home most of the food.
Steamed Beef Balls: Three giant minced beef balls made with fresh watercress bits that absorbs the flavor during steaming and provides a crunchy texture within each bite. Served with a side of worcestershire sauce for dipping.
Steamed Pork Dumpling Siu Mai: A nice juicy pork dumpling with an awesome big cold-water shrimp and tobiko on top.
So if you are wondering who those two crazy Asian couple are with a table full of food. Come say hi, it could be us!
