The Good Bean chickpea healthy treats are healthy snacks on the go, gluten-free and nut-free! One serving has the equivalent protein as almonds, fiber as two cups of broccoli and folate as three cups of spinach! These nutritious snacks are low fat appetizers, low cal snacks, and crunchy compared to chips.
The Good Bean all natural roasted chickpea snacks comes in a variety of flavors.
- Sea Salt
- Cracked Pepper
- Smoky Chili & Lime
- Sweet Cinnamon
- Mesquite BBQ
- Thai Coconut
I first discovered The Good Bean with my SnackBox Subscription of health snacks delivered to my door! The Smoky Chili & Lime of crunchy roasted chickpeas were delicious. Their roasted spiced chickpeas recipe was addictive! But I wondered what nutrition facts it had.
Each serving size has approximate 7g protein, 6g fiber, and low sodium. The Good Bean uses ingredients that are easy to understand such as roasted chickpeas, expeller-pressed safflower or sunflower oil, coarse salt, and natural Vitamin E. So really, I am snacking on vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, non-GMO, Hexane free. The Good Bean uses clean ingredients that are Fair Trade and follows Good Manufacturing Practices. Good for me. Good for the environment!
So next time you see yourself craving for that bag of processed chips, reconsider! Try a healthier alternative to deep fried potatoes. I really want to try the Thai Coconut flavor. It sounds like the perfect dessert recipe!

Power House Living Foods Nainamo is all about eating clean and living a vibrant healthy lifestyle, starting with the kitchen. After all, you are what you eat. And the key to any diet is 80% food, and about 20% exercises unless you are blessed […]
I’m a firm believer that any healthy lifestyle begins in the kitchen. Any diet and workout regime consists 80% diet and 20% exercise. The more junk one puts into the body, the more time and energy is required to breakdown the toxins. Lean meats, high fiber and low carbs really helped to improve my energy level and I don’t feel as sluggish mid-morning. Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shakes also really helped to to curb my hunger pains while provided the necessary nutrients. However sometimes, it is a little too filling. That’s where Vega Energizing Smoothie falls in.
Compared to Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shakes, Vega Energizing Smoothie still has 10grams of complete plant-based protein, 5 grams of fiber, 1 g of Omega-3. That is 2 servings of veggies that is dairy, gluten and soy free! It comes in various flavors such as Bodacious Berry, Choc-a-lot, Oh Natural, Tropical Tango and Vanilla Almond flavors. I tried the Tropical Tango which is like a mango, peachy type citrus blend. The flavour is mild but has a slight orange vitamin taste. Not a deal breaker for me, but would make it harder to mix with fresh fruits. Your selection should complement the orange-y taste. So blueberries are out of the questions.
Vega Energizing Smoothie vs. Vega One Nutritional shake, the powder is very clumpy and does not dissolve easily. So you will either need to mix it vigorously or used a Magic Bullet Blender to blitz it for 30 secs.
This makes a great pre-run / pre-workout drink. I usually one after work and before Vinyasa class. I don’t feel like I want to puke transitioning to Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (updog).
What do you like to mix with your supplement shakes or with Vega Energizing Smoothie? Do you add chia seeds or a banana?
There are four flavors to Vega One All-In-One Nutritional Shakes: French Vanilla, Chocolate, Berry and Natural. After looking up the ingredients and nutritional info I was excited to try it. Vega One is plant-based and is dairy free, gluten-free, soy free and contains contains no […]
Day 7 Wonder Soup Diet | Cabbage Soup Diet: Fruits, Veggies and Juices. No Meat. Hallelujah! The diet is over! Weighted myself on the scale and about 6 lbs has shed since Day 1. I think it was definitely a great detoxing experiencing. And now that […]
Day 5 Wonder Soup Diet | Cabbage Soup Diet: Protein and Tomatoes. Consume fish, turkey and chicken. Snack on cherry tomatoes all day with plenty of water to flush the uric acid out!
Weighted myself on the scale and still about 5 lbs has shed since Day 1. This is the miracle quick weight loss diet!
Today I’m suppose to eat 6-8 tomatoes only. I’m assuming they meant large hot house tomatoes or at least roma tomatoes. Anyways, I had a bunch of cherry tomatoes instead. Cherry tomatoes makes for a good snacking option that are juicy and not too bland.
Throughout the day, I snacked on tomatoes. But really remember to drink lots of water. It was a bit acidic during the morning hours that my stomach felt a bit queasy.
And lunch I had oven baked chicken thighs loaded with tons of herbs – rosemary, basil, oregano, olive oil and lemon. For dinner, it was a mixture of soup, a romaine salad with roma tomatoes and baked chicken wings. Again, I used the same seasoning since it’s tasty and zero fat.
Today was a good day!
Day 4 Wonder Soup Diet | Cabbage Soup Diet: Bananas and Milk / Yogurt. Sounds like a really bad day already! Weighted myself on the scale and about 5 lbs has shed since Day 1. It was crazy since I’ve complete 3 days of […]
Day 6 Wonder Soup Diet | Cabbage Soup Diet: Protein and Veggies (everything but tomatoes). Weighted myself on the scale and about 6-7 lbs (depending on the time I weighted myself) has shed since Day 1. Unlike Day 1 or Day 2 of the Cabbage Soup Diet, on […]
