Good Earth Coffeehouse is a popular Alberta-based coffee franchisee that recently just entered Vancouver’s coffee scene! The first location is located in the Point Grey neighbourhood at 2505 Alma Street and Broadway. It is around the corner from Nourish. Co-founder Nan Eskenazi plans to open three to five locations in Vancouver. One at Capilano University in North Vancouver and another coming soon to Downtown Vancouver.
The coffee shop is roomy and has lots of natural light, perfect for studying and catching up on work and life! I love that there are bar seats, long communal tables and even some pretty marble tables with firm comfy couches by the windows that makes every photo totally “grammable”!!
In addition to coffee, Good Earth Coffeehouse also has tea lattes like my favourite matcha green tea latte and rooibos tea latte. Their French Press coffee is rich and great to share with friends. All their coffees are Rainforest Alliance Certified – sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Did I mention they also have craft cold brew coffee? And if you’re looking for that Happy Hour relief, they serve beer and wine!
The food menu offers pastries, sandwiches, panini and flatbread pizza. Breakfast muffins are made with steel-cut oatmeal. Perfect if you are on the go but do not want to sacrifice nutrition!
Personally, I really enjoyed this double dark chocolate cake. It isn’t too sweet and has lots of decadent layers. It just goes perfectly with a cup of matcha green tea latte.
We love it so much, that we’ve partnered with Good Earth Coffeehouse to give you a chance to win one $50 gift card. Four chances to win in total!

Hey Happy Coffee puts a smile on my face period. This single-cup service of robust coffee is located in Downtown Victoria at 560 Johnson Street. I’m happy to see a new wave of boutique cafes instead of chains that boast “serious coffee”. Owner Rob Kettner […]
Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Portland is a high-end coffee shop that has developed quite a cult following. This specialty coffee shop has locations throughout PDX (much like Prado and 49th Parallel coffee in Vancouver). But of course, many of its fans got really upset when […]

I love high ceilings and bright lofty spaces; wood panels and concert. Porto Cafe is no exception. Free WiFi and abundance of wooden benches and high top tables makes this a great coffice. I am a little weary now this place will be burdened with traffic. This is my selfish self talking.
There are arrary of baked goods and savory sandwiches. Strawberry and Peach smoothies are thirst quenching for those dog days of summer. And coffee brewed with Pallet Coffee Roaster beans.
Matcha Latte: a creamy and flavorful jolt of caffeine.
Americano Espresso: Strong and Earthy.

Good Coffee Portland offers great coffee and aesthetics. Every detail counts: marble counters, bench sets, chairs that feels like a giant hug and even a cowhide rug. For those Instagram obsessed, there’s even “good” tiles the entrance for you to take a photo #ihavethisthingwithfloors photo. […]
Temper Pastry West Vancouver is a chocolatier and patisserie in the Dundarave neighborhood. White marble, cement and wood frame this quaint European style cafe. Owner and Chef Steven Hodge grew up in the same neighborhood and studied at the California School of Culinary Arts, specializing in pastry and chocolate. His resume boasts Le Caprice Restaurant, Gordon Ramsay’s 3 Michelin star restaurant, Royal Hospital Road, Wolseley Restaurant, and along side renowned pastry chef Thomas Haas.
While the location is a tad far at times for us, it makes for a good drive and little getaway from the city. Aside from pastries, macarons and other baked goodies, Temper also offers a selection of savory sandwiches and soups. The perfect cute lunch spot!
Almond Croissant: Flaky, crunchy, soft and tender center of a double almond croissant pairs perfectly with a hot Americano.
Coconut Lime Tart: A good sweet to tart balance. Soft and creamy albeit the bottom crust was too hard.

Pallet Coffee Roasters in Vancouver’s East Village neighbourhood 323 Semlin Street is a full service coffee bar with freshly made in house sandwiches and baked goods. It is just around the corner from Basho Cafe. The high ceiling space is gorgeous with pallet boards and waterfall dangling light bulbs.
Partners Sharif and Shane of Pallet Coffee has a background in construction and used to own a cafe in Yaletown. Nowadays, they are sourcing coffee and tea for your enjoyment. I like their cappuccino with a earthy, robust and sharp espresso finish.
I like the subtle quietness of Pallet Coffee’s corner lot. It is perfect for those quiet moments you want to have some “me” time and get some work done. There are plenty of seats in a mezzanine split level.
