Sushi Mania Japanese Restaurant is a relatively new sushi shop beside Acorn, The Fish Counter, and Nomad Restaurant. This tiny restaurant holds roughly around 20 seats. Decor is modern, simple and clean. The menu is quite limited with the most basic and common items: California rolls, Sushi Nigiri, Sashimi, tempura and udon. Prices are reasonable and the fish is fresh.
Mania Roll: Most of their ‘original’ sushi rolls has a California Roll base; then varied with different toppings. The Mania Roll is made with imitation crab meat, avocado, and cucumber with topped with chopped scallops. An unagi sauce like then finishes off the roll.
Agedashi Tofu: Lightly breaded and flash fried. Pretty standard. But I did like that it wasn’t soaked in oil.
Toro Sashimi: fresh and cuts were of decent size.
Tempura Udon: Not a lot of udon noodles. The tempura was a little doughy with too much batter. The broth however was tasty and flavorful.
Overall Sushi Mania is a decent place for sushi if you are not looking for anything fancy. Prices are reasonable and the quality is fresh.
