Nomad Vancouver Restaurant on Main Street focuses on fresh local ingredients and has an Ocean Wise approved seafood program. It is located beside The Acorn, Kitchen on Main, The Fish Counter and Portland Craft. It’s been awhile, so we thought it was time for a re-visit. This time, girls night out!

Black Garlic Hummus 9: Chicharron pork crackling and lentil wafer. I like the light, crispy wafers with a slight kick of heat.

Heirloom Tomato Salad: daily special salad with feta cheese and champagne vinaigrette. Ever so refreshing and deliciously sweet.

Grilled Calamari14:  Presented in 4 perfectly cut rectangles. It looked like erasers but it tasted ever so tender and well marinated/seasoned. Served with chickpeas, guanciale, and chimichurri. Best eaten together.

Braised Lamb 25: Just as good as I remembered it last. Tender, tender lamb. Fenugreek ricotta gnocchi, legumes, and masala jus gras. The lamb has a strong taste if you are not afraid of that gamey taste.

Confit Pork Belly 24: Fermented apple barbecue Sauce, soy carrots, radish, barley groats. A very nice fall autumn menu that is hearty and quite filling!

Lemon Bar 8: Italian meringue and preserved fruit salsa. The perfect balance of tart and sweet.

Nomad offers tasty menu options for good value at reasonable prices. Service is always warm and welcoming. I love the high ceilings, large windows and mezzanine two story space. If this wasn’t a restaurant, I can picture turning this into a pretty nice apartment loft.
