Juniper Vancouver is finally here and opened in 3000 square foot Chinatown location at 185 Keefer Street – next to Bao Bei Chinese Brasserie. Tonight we were invited to celebrate with Shaun Layton – internationally acclaimed bartender. You may recognize Shaun from the past as Head Barman at L’Abattoir.
At Juniper you can find Negronis on tap! Yes! You’ve heard that right! It is one of the first of its kind in Vancouver. We’ve first enjoyed this in San Francisco and I must say it was pretty spectacular. Mixed drinks on tap equals faster Manhattans and Negronis. With Vancouver’s creative craft cocktail scene growing strong, bartenders now can serve drinks quicker while preserving that great taste! Let it pour like craft beers!
Juniper Vancouver’s food program is lead by Chef Sarah Stewart. Menu focuses on her love of the great outdoors, but drawing roots from her small farming community and respect for Canada’s shared culinary heritage.
Tonight we dabbled into delicious charcuterie and terrines, pate, and some items off the menu. We are indeed looking forward to return for dinner over Shaun’s Gin & Tonics!
