In a Snap! Tasty Southern Recipes’ – Elvis’s Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwiches

Cookbook - In a Snap

We were recently sent a few Southern cookbooks from the good folks at OMG Publicity. In a Snap!: Tasty Southern Recipes You Can Make in 5, 10, 15, or 30 Minutes by Tammy Algood author of Farm Fresh Southern Cooking.  I really like the picture of the kid’s lunch box with an old school glass bottle soda and a healthy delicious sandwich which kids will like. I know how much I still find comfort in a simply PB&J.

Elvis’s Peanut Better and Banana Sandwiches

Yield: 2 Sandwiches

Ingredients:
4 slices bread of your choice (I normally like multigrain)
1 banana
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

  1. Spread peanut butter to one side of bread
  2. Gently crush banana slices into the peanut butter.
  3. Cut diagonal.
  4. The recipe calls for serving with potato chips; but I tried crushing and sprinkling into my sandwich and it was awesome!
