What’s not to love about a great open patio space located on the pier next to Fisherman’s Wharf in Steveston. This long stretched patio space overlooks the marina and river traffic!

We were looking for a great place to chill while catching some rays after work on Friday. TGIF must be done right. We were seated almost right away. How thoughtful of them to include a blanket in case it gets chilly at night after the sun has set.

They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap, Draught Beer, Craft Beer, Bottled Beer. Export and Domestic. To start we washed our work week away with…
·         Mirror Pond a light Pale Ale that goes down easily.
·         Le Merle Farmhouse Ale that was crisp and slightly acidic.
·         Summer Weizen was nice with apricot notes.

Their daily specials for entrees sounded pretty fantastic but given we’re only here for happy hour we opt to share some appetizers.

Lobster macaroni & cheese 17.99: I was dying to have Lobster Poutine at YEW Restaurant (Four Seasons). So this lobster mac came perfectly. Luscious lobster (although it tasted somewhat frozen), aged cheddar, gruyère cheese fondue, herb panko crust. Overall well balanced, creamy, al dente and extremely filling. I think I need to go run 5K again. This was a great share plate. Anymore would’ve been too much.

Sliders 3 for $13.49 ($4.50 each): Your choice of 3 styles:
1.     grilled chicken sliders: roasted red pepper and paprika aioli, cucumber slice
2.     beef sliders: chimichurri, tomato, lettuce
3.     wild salmon slider: ginger mayo, pickled slaw

We got the Wild Salmon Sliders. Overall pretty good portion. The fish was juicy and moist. The ginger mayo and pickled slaw gave it a nice kick.

I like this place but it ain’t cheap eats. Some items are on the pricey side. Probably not the best idea if you are trying to save a few coins.

After Happy Hour and before dinner perhaps you can also head over to Timothy’s Yogurt and grab their famous Fro-Yo (frozen yogurt)!
