There are many Granville Island Brunch spots, but the one that really speaks duck fat is Edible Canada Vancouver. We first came here for a crowded Valentines dinner and found that the menu was quite adventurous . Of course, we don’t have a problem with that. In fact, we welcome liver, hearts, and intestines.
Brunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon was complete different. The place is relaxed and the outdoor patio space is gorgeous. Vancouver tourist must make good use of Vancouver patio restaurants and enjoy the rays. We came here after church for a late breakfast on Sunday Funday to meet up with KimYu. It was the best breakfast to cure a hangover.
Caesar and Orange juice set the pace. The Caesar was pretty standard with a candied bacon stir stick and sprinkled with some sea salt.
DUCK POUTINE 16: duck confit, cheese curds, duck gravy with two sunny side up fried eggs. If this doesn’t catch your attention, I don’t know what will. This is a heavy, heavy dish. We recommend sharing.
BOAR BACON CHEDDAR BURGER 17: wild boar bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, aged white cheddar, duck fat frites. A delicious juicy burger with duck fat flavored fries.
If you are watching you diet, Edible Canada does have some healthier options like salad. Or at least you can get a PATISSERIE LEBEAU WAFFLES made with butternut mascarpone whip, roasted apples, maple syrup. Ok, may your juice cleanse and diet can start tomorrow instead.
