Babka Cafe Taiwan Jiu Fen 歐風鄉村咖啡 in Jui Fen, Taiwan is two story, cute little coffee shop. Here in the tourist area of the "A City Of Sadness" in Rui Fang (mainly due to it's never ending rain, mist, and gloomy clouds) are home to some good coffee and tea houses.
It was cold outside and after falling on some slippery slopes, a nice hot cup of espresso latte was the best remedy.
Up the stairs is a nice sitting area full of books and magazines. Even with the terrible yellow incandescent lighting, this place was still very relaxing.
Through the windows and you can look down and see from a birds eye view of the street or peer across the brightly lit tea house. Teas are displayed on test tubes. Upstairs, youths sat playing on their gadgets and chatting.
Folder napkins are presented.
A rich cup of Americano: The roast was earthy and nutty. Unfortunately it was rather dull.
Latte: A milk cup of espresso with a little too much froth. The latte was rather dull and did not have a great contrast in flavors It also lacked the big wave of aroma.
You can really make or break someone's day with a cup of coffee. I wanted my perfect cup of coffee to uplift my spirits. Pity, I did not find my caffiene high at Babka Cafe Taiwan Jiu Fen.
